Research interests
Laura Coltofean (Ph.D., 2016) is an archaeologist and historian specializing in the history of archaeology and gender archaeology. Her research interests within the history of archaeology include the development of interdisciplinary research methods and collaborations; knowledge production and transfer; the role of social networks in the formation of disciplinary identities and practices; the influence of political ideologies on archaeological discourses; and the histories of women’s engagement in archaeology in Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries.
